dune ventures is a multi-stage venture firm backing the founders shaping interactive content, social, and technology. We invest globally in a small number of the most ambitious founders in the interactive space each year.
We are both sector-focused and reactive investors at Dune. Our job as investors is not to define the future, it is to back the people who will.
Our search for the best founders is relentless — we don’t restrict ourselves around stage, ownership, or preference following / leading, we care about partnering closely with founders over a multi-decade timeline.
Long Term
Dune is not structured like a traditional venture fund. We are a permanent capital vehicle investing off of a large balance sheet. This enables long-term partnerships with founders and consistent access to capital.
We believe the most ambitious founders of the generation are building companies over longer periods of time. Whether it’s Unity, Epic, or Roblox, they aren’t optimizing for traditional fund lifecycles. They are focused on building products and services that stand the test of time.
Multi-Stage
Although we have no stage restrictions, we prefer to partner with founders early — typically at the Seed or Series A. Doubling down, and showing support for founders over time, is our model. We provide multi-stage investment support for our portfolio companies, and we love nothing more than scaling up our check sizes and ownership when it makes sense.
Concentration & Conviction
We don’t invest in several dozen companies a year — that’s not our model. We invest in a small number of extraordinary founders and work closely with them. This allows us to be more generous with our time and be more thoughtful when we partner with founders.
